Last night, the Pittsburgh Penguins had a 3 to 0 lead but allowed the Edmonton Oilers to come back to win the game in overtime. The Penguins got the first goal of the game scored by James Neal 2:09 of the second period. Sidney Crosby made it a 2 goal lead with a wrist shot 7:55 in the 2nd.
Edmonton got on the board with a snap shot from Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, 53 seconds into the 3rd period. Edmonton tied up the game, 10:07 in the 3rd period with a wrist shot scored by Taylor Hall. Kris Letang made it 4 to 3 in favor of the Penguins with a wrist shot 12:16 in the 3rd period. Edmonton sent the game into overtime with a goal from Anton Belov, 18:01 in the 3rd period his 1st goal of the season. In overtime Ryan Nugent-Hopkins scored his 2nd goal of the night 1:01 in the period for his 13th goal of the season and won the game for Edmonton.
The Washington Capitals taking on the Toronto Maple Leafs was also a good game to watch, with the Caps winning 3-2. Washington got on the board first with a goal by Alex Ovechkin 6:39 in the 2nd period. Toronto tied up the game at 1 with a tip in power play goal scored by
James Van Riemsdyk, 9:08 in the 2nd period.
Phil Kessel made it a 2 to 1 game with a snap shot, 54 seconds in the 3rd. Washington tied up the game at 2 with a wrist shot from Nicklas Backstrom 4:36 in the 3rd period. Joel Ward scored the game winning goal, 11:51 in the 3rd period.
